I like Phi Brain, I have no idea why, but I do. I think its because it’s not a typical action anime geared towards kids. It’s about solving puzzles and using your brain, which I think is pretty neat message to send across. Thankfully Phi Brain will be back sometime in 2013!
The second season of Phi Brain picks up right after the first season ended. This season is dedicated to a new group named the Orpheus Order, which seems to be a group of people that all have Orpheus Rings. Kaito, Nonoha, Gammon, Cubic, Ana, and the help of some new and old friends, solve various puzzles the Order create against them.
Really, the story is pretty close to the first season. Kaito solves puzzles against an evil organization, yadda, yadda. But that doesn’t bother me too much since it’s suppose to be about solving puzzles. But I have to say, some of the forced dramatics was way too much, even for me. Kaito actually believing his broken promise is the reason Freecell’s mom died… r u serious. But half way into the season things start to pick up a bit more, and I really enjoyed the last few episodes. I’ll be looking forward to see what they have plan for season three!
If you watched the first season of Phi Brain and had fun, then why not check out the second season? Might as well watch it before the third season comes out! The series isn’t a “MUST WATCH NOW” for people who haven’t picked it up yet, but it is something fun to watch on a weekly basis!
