So… season two will be starting soon, right? RIGHT. They can’t just leave the ending all open like that without a second season! I NEED MORE BASKETGAY.
Kuroko no Basket mainly follows Tetsuya Kuroko and Taiga Kagami, as incoming first years at a new high school. They both join the basketball team at the school, and display an incredible talent for the sport. It’s revealed that Kuroko is the mysterious sixth member of the “Generation of Miracles” which were a group of middle school basketball players that their school to the championships three years in a row, and won all three. The old team has since been separated, all six going to different high schools. We get to watch as Kuroko, Kagami, and their new team try to beat the Generation of Miracles and get their school on top at the championships.
Sports anime are such a guilty pleasure of mine, because they’re just so… INSPIRATIONAL. Kuroko no Basket totally delivered for me. There are just so many interesting characters, although sometimes it can be hard to keep track of. I love Kuroko and that all he wants is to just be able to play basketball as a team. And I swear, the basketball games are probably more intense than any typical action anime out there. Edge of my seat, the entire time. Love it.
Also, the entire series is filled with cute boys. And the animation during the basketball scenes is fucking amazing. I was so impressed with it. I was just really impressed with this entire anime really! I was not expecting it to be THIS good.
If you dig sports anime, cute looking anime boys, some INTENSE BASKETBALL PLAYING, as well as quite a bit of humor, then you should probably watch Kuroko no Basket.
