I thought I was going to be watching a fun, light-hearted anime about a girl with pink hair. NOT REALLY. Although I absolutely loved what the show really is about, so I can’t even be angry. I need more. More faeries, more everything.

During the time Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita takes place, mankind is on the verge of extinction, taking its place are little, intelligent, strange creatures called Faeries. The story follows a young girl who becomes somewhat of an ambassador for the faeries and winds up in weird situations with her friends, all because of the faeries.

I love the story, I love the setting, I love everything. I totally felt stupid though because I didn’t even realize the story wasn’t in chronological order until about half way through. The series isn’t really dark, it just puts the characters into funky situations that sometimes makes you think. It’s not at all just cute things happening. These scenarios are really weird, with just a lot of cute looking characters involved.

I loved how the show was so bright despite being about a rather dark subject, which is all the humans dying out. Along with how cute the faeries are, it really gives the show a sharp contradiction.

Watch it. I don’t care what kind of anime you’re into, at least give Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita a try. You may love it, or you may hate it. But at least try it! It’s just really enjoyable, and honestly if you marathon you’ll probably be able to enjoy it a lot more than just watching one episode a week. It’s just a marathon sort of anime.
